Process for GeM Registration

    Go to the official GeM portal

    After opening up the web browser, visit the link to know how to obtain GEM registration.

    Sign up as a seller

    After clicking the sign-up button, specify that you want to sign up as a seller.

    Read the terms and conditions

    Sometimes there are terms and conditions buried so deep in the fine print that people sign up without knowing the guidelines in detail. So, read the terms and conditions thoroughly, and then, e-sign on it.

    Mention the type of company

    Specify whether the company is a limited liability company (LLC), limited liability partnership (LLP) firm, or private company.

    Give business owner name

    Provide the first and last name of the business owner.


  • Put in ID and password

    Enter a user ID and password. Make sure it is unique.

  • Verify with OTP

    Verify the phone number provided by submitting the OTP received. Then, click on ‘Create Account’.

  • Verify the email id

    After logging in, verify your company's email id. It acts as a secondary verification.

  • Enter ID proof of the business owner:

    Submit the Aadhaar card and PAN card details of the business owner in the GEM registration service online portal.

  • Submit product details

    Lastly, provide the specifications and image of the products that you want to sell on the Government online shop. Also, mention the quantity and price of the products.
